Yes. This Emmy wrap-up report is being published a good four days post Emmys. 

I'm good like that. HipMamaB is ALL about what's CURRENT. 

And apparently I'm losing my edge. 

Here's my story. It's been a busy few weeks, so Sunday I slept. A lot. I had grand plans of getting up and writing all the posts that I need to write, hitting up the Dailey Method and then coming home to enjoy the Emmy's with my girl Nicole IRL and the MomSmack mamas on Twitter. But in the end a massive wave of exhaustion overtook me and I barely made it to the grocery store to buy milk. 

My favorite part of any award show is the red carpet, and I was really disappointed to find only one channel covering it. Don't get me wrong, I love the E! coverage, but I need to be able to flip back and forth when they are talking to some boring MAN about their suit rather than a woman analyzing her dress. Sexist? A little. 

I love the clothes. I love the dresses and all the sparkles. 

This year I think my nods to best dressed go to Tina Fey (on trend in BLUE), Taylor Shilling in goldish/white/pearl and even though she needs to eat a hamburger (or 20. With fries.), Claire Danes' dress was stunning.

#FashionFriday: Be a "Fit Fashionista" With Ellie

Moms across America have one thing in common; we spend a A LOT of time in our yoga pants. I'm not saying we are all going to yoga all the time, I'm just saying we wear them a lot. So you HAVE to look cute in them. A few years ago, Lululemon changed the designer workout wear trend into a full-on obsession. Fashion Friday! Getting Ready For Spring With Gold Wedge Flip Flops from Lindsay Phillips

YES. I've been obsessing about warmer weather and long days spent at the pool/beach with the soft sun warming my shoulders. I went to see Safe Harbor and through the whole movie I just kept thinking of how jealous I was of everyone's sun kissed noses and tan legs... sigh...

Spring is my favorite fashion time of the year. In San Diego we don't get a proper Fall, but Spring can be glorious. My Spring fashion look is more Bo-Ho, with jeans and flowing shirts and light weight scarves. Fashion FLASH: What Women are Wearing In Paris RIGHT NOW

As I type this, my good friend, Maria, is in Paris. 

Sigh. SO. JEALOUS.

Maria and I connect on a lot of things, but obsessing over clothes, but what to wear for specific occasions is something we are blood sisters on. So for the past few weeks we've been going back and forth on what she NEEDED to buy to wear while on her fantasy 10th Anniversary trip to Paris. She's now been there are few days, and today I got a few updates on current trends straight from the streets of La Ville-Lumière.

So what are the four must haves for Fall in Paris? 

Boots. Leather Skinnies. Leg Warmers and Finger-less Gloves. 

Apparently the chic women of Paris are rocking short boots. From moto style to cowboy style, booties are the rage. But what are they wearing them with?

Leather skinnies/jeggings and LEG WARMERS. Yes, apparently knit leg warmers are running city wild on Parisian legs. 

And then we have the fingerless knit gloves. 

While my first thought is Madonna circa 1984... look at how cozy those look!

So, there you have it. The Paris "must haves for Fall 2012."

Now I'm headed to the mall!
