HALLOWEEN TIME! Knotts Berry Farm's Kid Friendly Camp Spooky

Growing up in So. Cal, getting to go to Knott's Scary Farm at Halloween is like a rite of passage - it's the thing to do. One that scared the crap out of me for years to come. Since then, I had a bit of a "fear" of Knott's at Halloween... but last year I was invited to spend the day at "Camp Spooky" and realized that while at night it's all goblins and monsters, weekend days in October are actually very kid friend - and a whole 'lotta fun.

This daytime, non-scare celebration celebrates "cheer rather than fear" with  activities and of course, trick-or-treating.

Kids can take part in Snoopy’s Costume Party and show off their costume or watch Charlie Brown’s Spooktacular Show or explore the wacky hijinks of the Monster Factory, a fun interactive maze for the whole family in which the little ones create the things that go bump in the night.
Also included with theme park admission, kids can fill their goodie bag with sweet treats given out at five Trick-or-Treating locations in Camp Spooky. And finally at the “Creepy Crawly Critter Cave” Knott’s park naturalists will amaze with slithery, slimy, creepy, crawly critters.
Knott's Berry Farm in October is quickly becoming a tradition and is one of the kid's favorite theme park these days.

*disclosure: GigaSavvy invited my family to join them at Camp Spooky for a private event and is providing admission to the theme park.
