Omni La Costa Resort on Sale?! JUMP ON THAT STAT.

You know I'm not a flash sale or bargain blogger for the most part... but when my favorite place on earth, Omni La Costa (that yes, happens to be 3 miles from my house) goes on sale, I have to share the love.

Also, it's kinda selfish of me because when you come and stay at Omni La Costa, you will have to invite me down for a glass of wine. See? We all win.

Also (ssshhh - big secret!) Fall is THE BEST TIME OF THE YEAR to visit San Diego.

I may have my residency revoked for sharing that with you. But really? It is the most beautiful time of year in San Diego. Imagine... warm, sunny weather and an expansive 400 acre property, complete with two golf courses, the Nation’s #1 Wellness Spa, multiple dining venues (one being Diversions with a massive TV so you don’t miss your favorite game), waterslides, pools and luxurious guestrooms... and THE SPA. OMG THE SPA.

September 3rd through the 17th , they are offering a 2 Week Sale on Omni La Costa's "Experience Package": rates from just $199 (normally starts at $299).

The Experience Package includes $330 in Resort Credits (this is in addition to your room):

  • Accommodations
  • Daily Breakfast for Two
  • $45 Daily Spa Treatment Savings Pass (per adult)
  • $90 Daily Golf Savings Pass (per adult)

AND? Kids stay free with adults.

Activities offered this fall include (some are select nights/dates):

  • Family S’more roasting
  • Haunted/Holiday Hayrides
  • Family Scavenger Hunts
  • And much more make the season exciting

So come and vist ME... um.."the resort" this fall!

imagine yourself here... sigh... wish this was me..

Get Ready For Valentine's Day: Hit the Spa or Plan a San Diego "Staycation"

We all know that Valentine's day is about bringing the love... and nothing says love better than a day at the spa or a weekend in a swanky, downtown hotel. If you are lucky enough to live in San Diego (or even Southern California) here are my two picks for getting reacquainted with your significant other.

La Costa Resort and Spa

If you follow me around on my various social networks, you know how much I LOVE La Costa. Yes, it's five minutes from my house but there is still something magical about spending the day at the spa there. I feel like I'm hundreds of miles away instead of just three. While a nice bamboo massage or aroma rain massage will also put you in a loosey goosey mood, for V-day you can always spice it up with one of these Valentine-inspired treatments:

Champagne Mimosa Massage Indulge in a champagne infused full body massage. Helps reduce muscle tension and increase circulation.  Relax afterwards by the spa dipping pool with a complimentary signature Spa Bellini.

Sweet Red Rose Facial Revitalizing and nourishing, this Sweet Red Rose treatment will assist in toning and reducing visible signs of aging.  Rich in antioxidants and vitamins, this facial is sure to deliver a refreshing boost of firming hydration.

Romantic Journey for Two Enjoy a 50-minute Suite Hearts Couples Massage followed by 45 minutes leisure time en-suite to enjoy after the massage.  You will enjoy your own private Jacuzzi and patio area while indulging in champagne and chocolate covered strawberries.

**swoon**

But maybe a night away is more up your alley? Downtown San Diego is always a great spot to spend the night and feel young again.

W Hotel San Diego

Last year, the W San Diego in downtown San Diego completed a $5 million renovation that includes a new lobby, signature restaurant, rooftop bar, spacious indoor and outdoor meeting facilities and event spaces. Referred to as the “Living Room,” the lobby includes vibrant colors in a lounge-like atmosphere with a DJ some nights. They also have a new bar, "Rooftop" that combines cocktails, bonfires, private cabanas and views of the city and San Diego Bay.

Two things to note: If you live in California, you get a 10% "locals only"rate. Also, take advantage of the "Acura Experience" - a free 5 mile ride. But book it early as it fills up quickly.

Review Week: Open up and say SPAAAAAAAAAA

A few weeks ago, a group of us were treated to one of those days you can usually only dream about. Girlfriends, mimosas, 90-minute spa treatments and a private cabana at one of San Diego’s top resorts. Can you say HEA-VEN!?

The Rancho Bernardo Inn invited us out to experience what they have to offer. With a new outdoor cabana treatment area and a new spa pool, I see why the property was voted Best Outdoor Spa by San Diego Magazine. The grounds were simply stunning, and I could have easily spent a week lounging at that pool. We were all given goody bags filled with signature products, adorable new spa flip-flops and the treatment of our choice. Now let's be honest: the only thing better than a massage is a free massage, so I'm not going to bore you with the fantastic details of the made from organic product scrub, the warm cocoon body wrap and the delightful Swedish rub down. That it was fabulous and relaxing and SO NEEDED is pretty much a given.

No, the party girl in me is going to tell you about something that really got me excited - their all inclusive spa party packages. We are of the age where we are "showering" our friends with parties for special occasions left and right. Milestone birthdays, weddings, babies - we all have tons of reasons to celebrate. And, as I learned a few weeks ago, going out clubbing isn't really the way to do things anymore. So why not organize a spa day? Your party can pick out their spa treatments, have some food and drinks and relax together in a private courtyard. While the exact cost depends on your group, I'm sure it's still a lot less than a weekend in Vegas.
