Giveaway! Tickets to the San Diego Fair from Chevy Ride & Drive

Confession. When they came to pick-up the Traverse this week I *may* have cried a little bit. I know the kids did, and continue to, every time we get in one of our non-dvd enabled cars...thankfully, we may have a chance to reconnect this weekend at the San Diego Fair at the Chevy Ride and Drive Event.

I KNOW. I see you sitting there, green with jealousy over all my Chevy-loving of late. But don't worry - this time I get to share my Chevy love, with a lucky San Diego Family!

Thanks to Chevy, I have a awesome giveaway: a San Diego “Fair Care Package,” for THIS WEEKEND (June 18-20, 2010).

Chevy's Fair Care Package comes complete with free admission tickets, ride tickets, and other swag to help you enjoy a day at the fair. Additionally, you'll have the chance to test drive Chevy's line-up of cars and they will even schedule a time for that ride & drive so you don’t have to wait in line.

To enter, in the Comments section, tell me about the ONE food item you are dying to try at the 2010 SD Fair. The winner will be chosen at random tomorrow at 4:00 PM.

Re-Tweet this promotion for extra chances to win!

"@HipmamaB and #Chevy Ride & Drive have FREE tix to the SD Fair THIS WEEKEND! Enter by 4 PM 6/17 to win!"

Think about it, free tickets to San Diego Fair, Chevy cars and a Deep Fried Stick of Butter... who can think of a better way to spend a day this weekend?

*Contest is closed*

CONGRATS to SUE for winning! Enjoy the fair, the food and your Chevy Ride and Drive!

Thanks to everyone for entering!

I LOVE funnel cake at the fair. I take mine with powdered sugar only. It's the one junkie-goodness from the fair that I indulge in and look forward to every year.

Frozen banana covered in chocolate and nuts! When I sold tee shirts (decorated with pictures of baby animals) at the fair many years ago, I rewarded myself at the end of each workday with a frozen banana.

I have gone to the fair every year of my life (yes, even as a child) solely for the purpose of eating those little cinnamon sugar donuts in the exhibit hall. It's a tradition with my father and I. We go together and eat bags of those little treasures. One year he also got his ear pierced while we waited in line for the donuts. See what I mean, memories, family bonding, donuts. :) I need tickets! Help me bring fair memories to my 2 boys this year as my husband was laid off and we cannot afford to otherwise go.

A) I haven't been to the fair in about 10 years so I haven't tried any of the fried foods, B) someone told me the Fried Twinkies tasted like doughnuts so they're all I've been able to think about ever since. Fried. Frickin. Doughnuts. #yum

We actually plan to go to the fair on Sunday, so *free* would be AWESOME! I think I will make Chris try the fried Klondike or fried Snickers, so that I can have a bite and it won't count!

Oh man. I just absolutely have to have the roasted corn every time I go. It's my favorite food and I can't leave without having one ear.... or more.

I am down with the chocolate covered, deep fried, bacon. However, I've got to draw the line at the deep fried butter.

FreeFreeFree - MeMeMe! I am going to take my boys to the fair on Sunday, would love to win the tix! And with the money I save on the tickets, hehe, I will buy ROASTED CORN (YUM!) and the ARTICHOKES. Honestly, I could care less about the deep fried anything, the corm and artichoke are where it's AT!

Mini donuts! So delicious...and so is the artichoke sandwich! I love the fair, can't wait to go back this year. It's always fun looking at the crazy food items!

I have never been to the fair but have heard all about the fried foods. I would want to try any of the crazy concoctions, but I especially love funnel cake!!

We have a routine: we buy either corn or those Australian beer battered potatoes, the mini chocolate chip cookies, salt water taffy, and one of the new 'it' foods. Last year it was chocolate covered bacon. LOVE the fair!

Roasted corn is delish!

I plan on eating the deep fried poptarts but only if I can hide it from my kids. I would never hear the end of "Why does mom get to eat pop tarts if we can't?"

I would have to choose the deep-fried Klondike bar. I like the sound of cool ice-cream with the crispy shell...yum!!!

The Zucchini Weenie

Good God...I have to try the The Zucchini Weenie. This is a hot dog, inside a zucchini, fried, and put on a stick. just no quite sure on the dipping sauce that will go with that. This is my first choice unless i find something stranger and more interesting. Krispy Kreme Sandwich???
