Caricature of Myself
I keep coming here to write something. Something witty, something poignant, something that will give unique insight into parenting or infants. But honestly, it's all been said before.
While trying to have a meaningful discussion with Jason about last week's 2-part Oprah featuring a woman who hoarded so much junk in her house that it took 3 months to clean out and in the end she had over 3,000 shoes and 3,000 purses, while being unshowered and in the same sweat suit (hey, at least it was a Juicy Suit) for the past 3 days, Jason turned to me and said "You realize you are pretty much a caricature of of a stay at home mom right now.."
Yea, I get it. I can sit here and go on and on about the wonderfulness of a new baby, the challenges of having 2 kids and bitch and moan about sleep deprivation, but really, that's all be said and done. It's nothing new. You don't want to hear it.
Let's be honest - you just came for the latest pictures.

why yes, yes i did! and they are adorable! how is lucas with the new baby?
I saw that Oprah too! Then I started working on Chris telling him our basement was beginning to look like a hoarders house and we needed to do Something (!) about it, and asap.
Or maybe I am just moving into the nesting phase, b/c I have become a bit maniacal about cleaning.
Oh, and I love the photos. I actually spotted them on Flickr and thought they were quite cute. I cannot believe it's already been a month!
Carol - the name of the flickr folder may be a little misleading, I just wanted one folder to put all the pictures from this month into, so I named it 1st month - she will only be 3 weeks on Thursday..I just didn't want 4 groups, and in my sleep deprived state, it made sense to me!
Ali - Lucas is doing great. He's Lucas.. he loves his baby sister (he calls her "my baby") and is continuing to be difficult and throw just as many tantrums as always. ;-)
She is beautiful - but I come to see how you are doing, too...:)
Yep , you are right, I came to see pictures. Your kids are so cute together.
Such a beautiful addition to a beautiful family! How is the adjustment to a new baby going? How are you doing?
Love the pics... love you - caricature or not! And I was just thinking how lucky you are that the insanity out by you tastes like ice cream, because the insanity here is beginning to taste like poop. ;)
