The story of my life at the moment

Maybe its the onset of warmer weather and that the San Diego sun finally decided to make an appearance after 45 days of "May Gray".. but the people around me have been getting the party started. And I'm the lucky one who gets to drive them all around. Really, I don't mind. It's a bonus of having a pregnant friend/wife that for 40 weeks you get to have 1 or 2 more margaritas than really necessary and not worry about getting home. And I'm happy to do my part in the great circle of the party-life.

But listen up people. You only have 21 weeks (give or take) left of this, then its PAYBACK. You hear me?? My forced 9 months of sobriety will be up, and just like Lindsay when she leaves Promises later this month, I will be ready to party.

But in the meantime, I will drive your drunk asses around and let you tell me over and over what a hottie mom I am and how I'm THE coolest preggo chick you know.

Gifts for Dads

As uou may remember, a few months ago the story of my career transition was posted over at JobMom. Well, since we are apparently a very interesting family with lots to say on all topics, Charlene tapped my other half for gift ideas for the upcoming "day of the dad".

HHHMM.. since its already been decided that I'm the household member who gets the iPhone first (he can have the Lasix surgery first.. I get the iPhone!) and there is nowayinhell he's getting a motorcycle, looks like Jay is getting a new crock pot!

New Home Warming

Today, I learned 2 very important life lessons.

1) Never assume technology to actually work for you.

and

2) NEVER ever ever change your email address because life as you know it will cease to exist UNLESS you remember every single freaking thing you ever entered your email address into for the 3+ years you had it.

Welcome to my NEW domain! I'm glad you were able to find me. I'm afraid that in the transition I will have lost some folks.. I hope they all find me eventually. I will miss my friends that I don't know exist but that are loyal readers.

Shall we play a game?

Let's all guess the amount that the "internet marketing professional" (as told by Google) person that purchased my old domain a mere 2 minutes after it became available will try and get from me to sell me back my old URL. Any takers?

Stop me when this gets old

Lucas is just firing them off left and right these days..

Yesterday, Jason was doing something where he was walking through the kitchen while I was on the computer. Lucas was trailing close behind in a never ending stream of dialog and questions about the transformers or batman or superman or spiderman. Questions that when asked of me get the "I don't know, you should ask Daddy!" response.

Jason looked at me, and in a show of excaberation brought on by having to explain to Lucas for the 50th time in the past 20 minutes WHY Batman is a good guy and not a bad guy as Lucas was insisting, stuck out his tongue and kinda made a zerbertish noise.

Lucas stops talking for a moment. Looks at Jason (who just walked outside to get something from the laundry room) then quickly follows him out the door screaming:

"DADDY!! What was that noise you made?! Did you spit?! Did you fart?! Did you break the law?!"
